Our services are designed for both the elderly person and also people with disabilities who wish to maintain their independence and have a better quality of life. All tasks are undertaken by our team of Support/Homecare Workers who have all had an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and who undertake continuous training to help them deliver the highest quality care to each of our service users. However, past experience also shows us that matching the personalities of individuals are just as important. Dignity and respect are at the heart of the service we deliver. We focus on the ability of the individual, not on the disability. All our staff take part in Dignity Workshops to help them recognise how to deliver a service which focuses around protecting the dignity of the service user. As an organisation we embrace the 10 Point Dignity Challenge as part of the Dignity in Care campaign. We have already achieved our Bronze Award status and are now working towards the Silver Standard. We ask our service users for regular feedback in order that we maintain a relevant and high quality service.

Job overview/purpose:
We are currently looking for a fun individual to join our office at Independent Care Link through the apprenticeship scheme. We are a local home care provider and are passionate about supporting individuals to live a full life as possible at home. Your main duties will include general office administration and customer service tasks including ‘meet and greet’ of visitors and office communications.
Main role: General office administration tasks:
• Logging and filing of paperwork as and when required
• Preparing and sending out business communication as per instructions
• Daily post administration
• Basic checks and ordering of kitchen stock
• Preparing for meetings, such as printing presentations and helping prepare drinks
• Meet and greet visitors
General customer service tasks:
• Answering the phone and passing on calls to other members of the business or taking notes
• Dealing with basic customer service queries

The successful applicant will be able to work effectively in both a team and on their own, and able to adapt effectively to both quiet and busy environments. It is also important that the successful candidate have a great work ethic and be able to pro-actively maintain a high standard of work.
Many of the skills you will need to be successful in this role will be developed as part of your training. However, alongside our values there are few key behaviours that are desirable for this role and as part of any selection assessment process you may be expected to show us how you demonstrate these behaviours:

The role will be full time Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. The company will support you whilst you complete your studies under the apprenticeship scheme.
